SCREEN2GO
Success Stories

1/    Right after the Screen2go prototype was finished, Ron traveled to Detroit to do training for a major Appliance Chain. Each year Ron would experience the same frustratrion with training at this account. They have one of the best training facilities in the country. The training room could accommodate about 100 people easily.
But as is typical of many training facilities, they use large rear-screen projection TVs for the manufacturer to use for his/her Power Point Presentation. The problem of course is that these type of display devices are limited in the quality of Power Point picture quality they can display.

Each year Ron would bring his own LCD projector and ask the rep, John to bring a bed sheet which they would hang up in front of the TVs. At least the quality of the Power Point presentation was bright and clear reflected off the sheet (even if the sheet did bring a few chuckles from the audience).
This time was different though. Ron had the “Screen2Go” prototype in his airline wheeled carry-on bag.
When the account training manager Tom, asked Ron if he had the (usual) sheet to hang in front of the TV, Ron replied that he didn’t need it this time, because he brought his own screen with him. Tom looked around & not seeing a large long package that you would normally see a screen in, he asked where it was. Ron indicated towards his Airline bag (that measures 20 inches tall) . Tom ,the account training manager was a little concerned. He reminded Ron that there would be approximately 80 people in the audience ( figuring that any screen that was packed in carry on could not be large enough for a large group). Ron assured him that the screen opens to 75 diaginal inches. Tom said “You have a screen in that case that opens to 75 ?” Ron corrected himself “Actually, there is also my laptop AND an LCD projector in there too”. Ron opened his airline bag and took out a pouch that measured 20” x 4” and another soft pouch 18” x 8” (that contained the screen material) and proceeded to assemble the “Screen2Go” . The whole assembly process took less than 4 minutes. Tom was so impressed that for the next 30 minutes he was bringing other people in to the room and pointing the screen and saying “ That fits in here” (picking up the soft pouches). Their response was “No way”. There were some skeptics that required Ron to take the whole thing apart and return it to the airline bag before they would believe it.
After the seminar was over; Tom the account training manager told Ron that they wanted to be the first customer for “Screen2Go”. Tom said that every rep that calls on them will want one. And it would also be perfect for home theater too.

2/     Ron used the Screen2Go for a presentation in Madison, WIS for one of the countries largest AV Distributor. Between presentations, the owner Johnathon stopped by to say “Hi” to Ron. He kept looking at the screen, and commented how good the picture looked on the screen, then asked if it was one that he sells. Ron told him that it was a new product coming on the market around April 2004. Jonathon walked over and picked it up commenting how light it was (weighs in at less than 9lbs). He asked how much it was going to retail for and said he wanted to carry it in his catalog as soon as it became available.
He even sent members of his stall over to look at it between sessions.

3/     Ron stopped by his bank to talk to one of the bank’s finance people about a possible loan if needed to launch “Screen2Go”. The young lady was very, very interested in what it could look like because she said that everytime they do a Power Point presentation for new hires at the bank, they need to have the one big screen shipped over from their head office.
She seemed so curious that Ron volunteered to get it out of his car and show her how lightweight & simple the screen is to use.
By the time he returned to her office with the screen, there were 8 people waiting to see this “new invention” (2 of the people were Bank Managers) .
They were all “blown away” by the simplicity of using the screen, the compact size (can be stored on a shelf in a closet) and the quality of the picture.
One of the managers commented that every bank in their chain would want one.

Amazingly everybody thought the suggested retail of $349 was too low for what the “Screen2Go” will do .
